Born out of a love of the aesthetic and the utilitarian, Chris and Meredith founded Feather and Board Woodworking as a true mom-and-pop shop. Located in Longmont, Colorado, we service Boulder, Northern Colorado, Denver and its suburbs. We focus on finding the right design elements for you and your family to create the perfect playscape, custom piece of furniture, or built-in. We live for the processes of discussion and dream-finding to designing and building and crafting whatever we imagine together. Carpentry and design are at the heart of our business and we each have an extensive background in connection and customer service. Together with our team, we are an idea-to-installation, complete woodworking and carpentry shop that creates heirloom pieces for comfort and for play.

Hi, I’m Chris.

I’m a generational woodworker with a keen relationship to the aesthetic, as well as the utilitarian. I was raised by a carpenter who taught me to emphasize the importance of generational connectivity and creating pieces of art that will be upheld and cherished by time. Together with the business background of my wife, we are Feather and Board, a bespoke woodworking service that is driven by a true love of all things made from wood. Longevity and craftsmanship are at the core of our business, and we are very focused on making our customers happy with work they will love. We know how hard you work for your space and we want any crafting we do for you, to reflect your own love of your home or business. I work with Meredith to bring your designs from an idea to a professional render giving you the opportunity to see your project in 3D before it is built.

Hi, I’m Meredith.

I have a deep love for human beings and for aesthetics. I am inspired by individuals and their stories and work together with Chris to create pieces with integrity, that uphold and highlight your aesthetic. With a background in fine dining, and management, I have a unique perspective on the relationship between aesthetic, form and function. I adore thinking about ways we can find space for your individuality in our design and art. I am happy to spend hours dreaming up your very perfect space and will support you in those moments of doubt and questioning. You’ll find me helping Chris in the shop, connecting with prospective, new, and return clients, and working with our clients to create the perfect design.
